The Marina at Dana Point
Phase 11 demolition began mid-January for the East Basin Island and opened for occupancy on May 15, 2026. Phase 12 began June 1, 2026 and officially opened for occupancy September 14, 2026.
The Marina at Dana Point has surpassed 4/5 completion of the 15-phase revitalization. Phase 13 on the East Island is currently underway with completion anticipated by the end of 2026.
Sportfishing, Whale Watching, Catalina, Restaurants & Retail
With the official completion of the first two phases, demolition for Phase 3 of the Commercial Core began February 2026, which will include over 100,000 sf of new development along the waterfront. Phase 4 demolition of the Wharf buildings commenced Fall 2026.
By facilitating the project in phases, the harbor will remain open to public access throughout the construction process. For the latest harbor offerings, please visit our calendar of events.
Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching and Catalina Express remain open and will soon relocate to temporary trailers for uninterrupted business operations with excursions 7 days a week.

The class will prepare you to take control of the vessel in the event the operator is incapacitated and unable to command the ship. Covers many of the most critical areas of information, with basic knowledge and tools to get you back to the dock.Designed for people with little or no experience in operating a boat. The VHF radio is one of the most important safety devices you have on a boat, especially in an emergency. This class will teach you how to operate a radio, may mayday calls, contact other vessels, get Coast Guard updates, use the DSC “red button”, as well as other electronic aids to boating.
